The Paul Ricard Grand Prix Circuit in the south of France hosted an official test for the FIA Formula Regional European Championship Teams and Drivers with 12 cars on the circuit over the 2 days – with still more cars and drivers on the way!

The line-up included: Van Amersfoort Racing with Alessandro Famularo and Pierre-Louis Chovet, DR Formula with Brad Benavides and Emidio Pesce, Prema Power Team with Gianluca Petecof, Arthur Leclerc, Oliver Rasmussen and Roman Stanek, Iron Lynx Abu Dhabi Racing with Amna Al Qubaisi, US Racing with David Vidales, and KIC Motorsport with Konsta Lappalainen and their Soon-To-Be-Announced, as yet unnamed new driver – who ended the day fastest with 1:59.819, followed by Arthur Leclerc (Prema Powerteam) with 1:59.145 and, third, his teammate Gianluca Petecof, so close with 1:59.

All this in day 1 in day 1 on Wednesday 4 March, with dry track. Day 2 has seen on a constantly wet/humid track, fastest of the day the 3 Prema Powerteam drivers, Arthur Leclerc, Gianluca Petecof and Oliver Rasmussen.

After a great debut season in 2019 won by Denmark’s Frederik Vesti, this year’s Formula Regional European Championship is shaping up to be a sensational season – with 25 F1 Super licence points awarded to the series champion and the recently announced amazing opportunity of a F3 test under the eyes of FDA observers! The Championship kicks off at the home of the French Formula 1 Grand Prix, Paul Ricard on April 25/26.
